Soil… the wonder stuff beneath your feet.

Soil is so often underappreciated. Many people just don’t realise how vital it is - whether that be in terms of the food we eat, the medicines we take, its role as a carbon store, or in the ecosystem as a whole. This short animation from BBC Ideas and The Royal Society is full of facts about soil, and aims to give people a renewed appreciation of what lies beneath their feet.
It was made by Flock London together with Professor Bridget Emmett, and Professor Alastair Fitter.
